How Do You Apply Halloween DTF Transfers?

DTF Ghost Halloween transfers are cold peel. Follow these steps:

  1. Pre-press the garment for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Position the transfer ink-side down on the garment, with the clear film facing up.
  3. Press at 290–320°F (143–160°C) for 8–15 seconds with medium to firm pressure.
  4. Let it cool completely to room temperature. Don't peel hot, or the design can tear or lift.
  5. Peel the film slowly at a shallow angle. If the print lifts, lay the film back down, re-press for a few seconds, and let it cool again.
  6. Post-press for 5–10 seconds under a Teflon sheet or kraft paper. This softens the print and improves durability.

What Fabrics and Products Work With Halloween DTF Transfers?

DTF transfers bond to cotton, polyester, and cotton-poly blends in any color. They're printed with OEKO-TEX certified, water-based inks and a white ink layer, so colors stay bright and opaque on black and dark garments. Popular uses include:

  • Halloween t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies
  • Family and group matching shirts
  • Kids' Halloween shirts and costume add-ons
  • Tote bags and trick-or-treat bags
  • Denim jackets and canvas bags
  • Pillow covers and other fabric home décor
  • Aprons and tea towels

For hard surfaces like mugs, tumblers, glass, and metal, use Halloween UV DTF transfers. They're waterproof and scratch-resistant.

Who Buys Halloween DTF Transfers?

  • Etsy, Amazon, and Shopify sellers building seasonal apparel listings
  • Boutiques and craft-fair vendors stocking October inventory
  • Schools, teams, and event planners making party or trunk-or-treat shirts
  • DIY crafters pressing custom shirts for family and friends
